Name: Megan

Birthday: July 21, 1983

School: Chatfield Senior High  I'll be a senior next fall and I previously attended Communications Arts High School

Band Nerd? Why yes of course.  I play the flute and I have been a section leader in the Taft Band and I was planning on being a section leader again but noooo, we had to move to Colorado.  They only have 1 section leader in the flute section at Chatfield...quite a change from Taft.

Interests and Obsessions: OreosCows, hot guys, making out, money, stuff that isn't boring, sociology, anything with band, movies, Jamba Juice, history fair (I know, I'm a nerd like that)

College or Couch Potato? Definitely college...I don't know where yet, possibly University of Colorado or UNT or something.

Favorite Quote: "There are many with memories so scarred that the vision of truth is blinded by hate. Some oppressors see themselves as the oppressed; for others the truth is so shameful that it leads to denial, so that self-respect may be preserved…Cruelty is not restricted to any one people, or to any one time, or to a single location. And each of us must find his own way to understand the worst in human behavior - and understand what feeds and sustains it. " - I forgot where this came from...well I know it's from a book on the Holocaust that I came across in my research but that's all I remember.

Favorite Memories: Every year of high school (so far) has been so great.  There have been times when it wasn't, but overall, these have been the best years of my life.  Some of my favorite memories are from the band trip from my freshman year, when we went to Florida...and our final exam in speech and comm with Jill an Albert...ah, those were the days.

Oh, and we can't forget being in the FFF - Fruity Freshman Federation...and then didn't we have the SSS? Stupid Sophomore Society?? Yeah, anyway, lunch was fun back then.  Speaking of lunch, I had fun going to senior lunch with Steph this year...that turned out to cause a lot of unwanted stress later thanks to a certain someone I won't name right now who turned us in.  He denies it but we know he did.

I think this past year of school has been the best...probably because I was able to goof off with Steph more. But I think my whole group of friends became closer.  Being a section leader was fun even though my section wasn't that great...marching band in general was a blast.  Region band auditions were fun too...mostly because I was making a fool of myself when I was waiting for my letter to be called.  Ok enough of this reminiscing...

Most Embarrassing Moment: Um...I don't know which one to write about, I've had so many.  Let's see, I ran into the sign at Astroworld when we were walking back to the busses.  I tried to tell Susy and Steph what if was like to have soap go up your nose but they didn't get it and now they won't stop teasing me.  I think anytime I turned red and people teased me...or when they'd tease me and I'd turn red was pretty embarrassing but I got used to it after a while.  I can't think of anymore but I know I've had a lot...I'll add more later.
