| July 13, 2001 I now have an all time favorite song - Eva Cassidy's version of Over the Rainbow. I listened to it for almost two hours straight today...I love it! While I was listening to it, I was trying to install the new modem which wasn't very easy because the stupid thing wasn't being nice to me. Then, when I finally get it to connect, I look outside and there is a beautiful rainbow. I took pictures of it in sections and just put them together, but I must warn you that I was very lazy and didn't make it look all that great. There was something else though, there were TWO rainbows at the SAME time! It was awesome. The second rainbow was faint and you can see it better here. But wait....there was even something else I found. When I was looking at the pictures I took, I noticed that one had a bird flying over the rainbow. How weird is that? I've been listening to Over the Rainbow for the past couple of hours and woah, there is a rainbow and a bird flying over it...kinda makes you think...someone up there is watching me...
July 8, 2001 I forgot to add this yesterday so I'll add it now. Yesterday, my parents and I went to the Cherry Creek Music & Arts Festival (or something like that). It was really awesome and really hot...I was melting. They had tons of artists there showing all different things. If I had a million dollars, I would have spent it all right there. Along with tons of artists, there were tons of people there of course. There was a little girl on her dads shoulders and she saw a lady holding an open umbrella and she asked her dad (but of course it was really loud), "Daddy, why does that lady have an umbrella when it's not raining?" The lady heard her and turned and explained that it was to keep the sun off her and she lifted her arm to put the umbrella over the little girl to demonstrate and low and behold...she was an Amazon woman! Not that that is a bad thing, it just surprised me...
July 7, 2001 On the 4th, my parents and I went to the park that is up the street from my house and you could literally see a 360 degree view of fireworks going off miles away. People were setting off professional style fireworks at their houses, the kind that shoot up reeeeeeally high in the air and have a huge explosion. That's very different from San Antonio where you can't have any kind of fireworks in the city. I had a couple of pictures look like sperm. Yesterday it got all stormy in the afternoon, like usual and the clouds once again made this cool uh...thing. It looks like a waterfall in the sky and there was a really small rainbow too. The clouds are cool here but they can completely change in a matter of minutes.
Here's a good picture of the lake at the park.
